Position Description:
We are looking for a Construction Project Manager to join our Construction team in our Atlanta office with water and wastewater experience. This position requires strong managerial and delegation skills, excellent communication skills with all levels of staff as well as good organizational skills. This position requires the ability to pursue, achieve and complete projects as the project/client manager.
Typical Responsibilities:
- Act as the on-site liaison with the client and community
- Maintain excellent client relations
- Conduct field inspections
- Cookordinate and communicate with contractors regarding construction project activity
- Mentor junior staff
- Responsible for project proposal development including positioning, approach, preparation and pricing
- Responsible for project execution including scope, schedule and budget
- Manage resources to successfully deliver project to client on time and under budget while meeting or exceeding client expectations
- Cookordinate the design function with various team members on the project
- Ensure employees have knowledge and tools to complete tasks
- Generate additional sales through business development activities
- Supervise project review (QA/QC) meetings
- Aid with project reports and technical presentations
- Attend client, staff and project meetings
- Estimate fees, review project plans and specifications
- Maintain a safe working environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field is preferred or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of related engineering or construction management experience
Skills:
- Strong people and team building skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly motivated, organized, and able to interpret technical data and perform technical writing
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
