Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Implements collecting insurance and safety requirements prior to mobilization
  • Safeguards project milestone safety achievement meetings
  • Establishes a culture to recognize and correct safety infractions
  • Understands the Injury / Incident Reporting Guidelines
  • Manages conformance of plans and specifications
  • Collaborates with field staff to ensure observations, RFI’s and submittals are processed and closed in a timely manner
  • Aids in managing subcontractors punchlist completion
  • Supports cost control by maintaining Owner PRs, GC Budget, Subcontract COs, Owner COs, Invoices, RFI & Submittal Cost Impact
  • Schedules and manages site activities
  • Supports field team with schedule adherence
  • Supports PM with submittal processing and procurement of all project material
  • Coordinates BIM, startup, and commissioning, and project closeout schedules
  • Tracks material procurement and provides feedback for updating the master schedule
  • Master use of construction management software (Procore, Prolog, Blue Beam, Excel) for document control and ensures all document management platforms are current
  • Creates and maintains project matrix for document control using logs, charts, and graphs
  • Leads project setup to establish document control
  • Manages the close-out process including collection of documents, organization, turnover, and archiving
  • Lead project team meetings and staff meetings
  • Motivates project team
  • Provides formal required trainings to new engineers and staff
  • Communicates effectively through written documentation
  • Prepares and sends NTPs (Notices to Proceed found in Procore)
  • Oversees and manages Project Engineers for guidance in communication
  • Proactively identifies when to hold meetings to resolve conflicts
  • Clear communication with Operations group during project construction

Qualifications

  • Has assisted running large commercial projects OR successfully managed non-complex projects up to $10M
  • Tracks job costs and handles the bid process
  • Strong communication skills
  • Worked with subcontractors in change order negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Understands safety for a job site
  • Managed submittal and RFI logs
  • Works with various groups & skill sets
  • Aids in subcontractor procurement and negotiation

Pay

This is a salaried position starting at $85,000.00 (or applicable minimum salary, if higher) and pays up to $117,000.00, based on experience and qualifications.
