Responsibilities

  • Assure that contractors are satisfying requirements in regards to critical path scheduling, cost tracking, material deliveries and subcontractor activities.
  • Maintain day-to-day surveillance of construction activities to assure compliance with safety, budget, specifications, drawings, and job instructions.
  • Assure compliance of contractors with job working rules, workman’s protection assurance (WPA), safety procedures (OSHA), environmental regulations, and Ameren procedures and policies.
  • Participate in project design, vendor selection and contractor performance evaluations.
  • Provide interface and coordination for assigned contractors with operations, engineering, architect/engineering firms, other contractors, regulatory authorities and others as required for construction work on Ameren property.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar degree from an accredited college or university required.
  • Five or more years of project design, construction, or power plant engineering related experience required.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work with contractors on multiple, complex projects;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Proficient computer skills;
  • Good leadership, decision making, and human relations skills;
  • Ability to work effectively with conflicting priorities and stressful situations in a team-oriented environment;
  • Knowledge of OSHA, safety and environmental requirements;

  • Ameren’s selection process includes a series of interviews and may include a leadership assessment process. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates.
  • Compensation Range: $111,100.00 - $172,200.00
