Responsibilities

  • Facilitates Customer and Team’s meetings and ensures that detailed meeting minutes and actions items registers are updated and promptly distributed.
  • Holds project start-up meetings when required and with the appropriate team members.
  • Systematically tracks and completes project action items to support project requirements.
  • Completes submittal reviews, status reports, closeout documents, and maintenance manuals promptly.
  • Visits project sites regularly.

Financial Success

  • Maintains project financials within budgetary limitations and requirements.
  • Inherits day-to-day management of project financials while developing proposals and execution strategies.
  • Maintains optimal savings within safety, quality, scheduling, training, and profitability requirements.
  • Monitors purchasing of required materials, subcontracts, equipment, and services for project(s).
  • Issues change orders to subcontractors and customers according to work procedures.
  • Completes red files accurately and reviews them with the Site Manager monthly.

Schedule Performance

  • Oversight of project team in developing and maintaining the project master schedule.
  • Affectionately assesses project schedule progress, identifies potential issues, and assists in developing corrective measures.
  • Ensures project delays are appropriately documented and communicated to all pertinent parties.
  • Develops and implements project risk management plans.
  • Maintains and communicates a clear approach to problem-solving.

Risk Management

  • Ensures understanding of contractual terms and conditions.
  • Makes decisions and takes appropriate actions based on contractual obligations.
  • Maintains goals for safety, quality, scheduling, training, and profitability.
  • Develops and implements risk management plans.
  • Affectionately assesses plan effectiveness and collaborates with team members to implement corrective action steps.

Relationship Management

  • Primary customer contact and account manager.
  • Develops and assigns responsibility for relationship management plans.
  • Includes a project communication plan outlining lines of communication for the project team, customer, subcontractors, and consultants.
  • Collaborates with A/E Services regarding consultants.

Team Member Development

  • Supports and abides by company's vision, core values, and mission statement.
  • Maintains project team cohesiveness and develops action plans to correct issues.
  • Mentors and trains senior project managers, project managers, assistant project managers, and project engineers.

Collaboration

  • Communicates regularly with other Project Executives and Responsible Director, Responsible Regional Manager, or Responsible Vice President.

Administrative Authority

  • Executes Subcontract agreements, releases early payments to subs and vendors, accepts deviations from insurance limits, and executes customer change orders.
