Construction Project Engineer

About the role

The real job is learning how commercial construction actually comes together — scheduling, documentation, cost tracking, and coordination — while working alongside the people who lead our projects from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling, document control, and change management
• Coordinate subcontractors and material suppliers
• Manage submittals, RFIs, and project documentation
• Track costs and maintain accurate project records
• Collaborate with owners, architects, superintendents, and internal teams
• Participate in planning meetings, quality control, and project closeout

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or APM (preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Familiarity with scheduling tools and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license
• Technical curiosity and eagerness to understand how projects truly operate
• Detail-driven and committed to accuracy
• Collaborative and respectful with field and office teams
• Proactive — you don't wait for problems, you anticipate them
