About the role
The Project Engineer provides technical support to the field and office teams under the supervision of their Project Manager. They will be involved in the entire job life cycle, starting from the beginning of a project through closeout. This role will assist in pre-construction meetings, weekly job walks, and maintaining a strong knowledge of the projects.
Responsibilities
- Aid the Project Manager and Superintendent throughout the project lifecycle.
- Attend pre-construction meetings and weekly job walks to understand the complete scope while ensuring safety, quality, and production standards are met.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of the projects and work to exceed set standards.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all pertinent information is provided; provide proactive communication with field leaders on bid productions and other pre-construction related information.
- Coordinate site logistics with the client to ensure production goals are met.
- Review production reports and address any discrepancies with the regional Foreman and Superintendent.
- Process purchase orders and field work tickets.
- Aid in preparing submittal packages.
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal clients.
- Strong computer skills; proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
- Ability to read and comprehend complex documents such as construction documents.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- 0-2 years of related experience (preferred).
- Detail-oriented, thorough, and deadline/goal-driven.
- Problem-solving mindset.
- Sedentary work with occasional walking and standing.
- Up to 20% travel primarily within their designated market.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $60,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
