About the role

This role supports the preconstruction and estimating team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare estimates ranging from conceptual to detailed estimating
  • Work directly with seasoned assistant estimators and estimators
  • Help prepare for pre-bid jobsite meetings
  • Preliminary construction schedules
  • RIFs (Revised In-Force)
  • RFQs (Request for Quotation)
  • Other project documents
  • Call subcontractors for multiple bids
  • Cultivate relationships with vendors

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or technical institute degree (recommended)
  • 1 to 3 years in commercial construction and estimating experience (recommended)
  • Proficient in desktop publishing, estimating, and scheduling software skills
  • Able to read, understand, and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Able to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Self-directed with a high level of initiative
  • Able to successfully work within a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Committed to delivering outstanding customer service and quality work
