About the role

Loureiro Building Construction, LLC. is seeking a Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial and industrial construction projects for a self-performing general contractor.

Responsibilities

  • Aiding in project planning and scheduling
  • Preparation and processing of subcontracts and purchase orders
  • Attendance and recording of project meetings
  • Preparation of change orders, submittals, and maintenance of submittal logs
  • Management of subcontractors and material suppliers
  • Reviewing daily reports
  • Record keeping and documentation of all aspects of the relative projects
  • Reviewing subcontractor requisitions for accuracy, in conjunction with the Project Management team
  • Aiding in attaining substantial and final project completion on time and within budget
  • Might assist Estimators, Project Managers, and Field Superintendents throughout all phases of projects, including performing quantity take-offs, soliciting quotes, scheduling, submittals, reviewing & coordinating subcontractor/material supplier quotes/subcontracts/PO’s, preparing project-specific health & safety documents

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field
  • 6 months to 3 years of construction or project management experience
  • Familiarity with construction documentation, processes, and project coordination
  • Experience with or willingness to learn Procore and Bluebeam
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain)

Skills

  • Physical requirements: Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, including active job sites; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; manual dexterity to operate tools, equipment, and computers; ability to work in varying weather conditions and terrains; adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment

Pay

Negotiable based on experience and qualifications

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed
