We are seeking a Project Engineer to support commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role serves as a critical liaison between project teams, architects, consultants, owners, and subcontractors to ensure documentation, coordination efforts, and administrative functions are completed accurately and on schedule.

The Project Engineer will become the technical resource for assigned projects, maintaining a thorough understanding of project plans, specifications, schedules, submittals, RFIs, and overall project requirements. Work environment: combination of office-based project coordination and project site with regular interaction with project managers, superintendents, architects, owners, consultants, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and track material procurement schedules and lead times
  • Coordinate material deliveries with subcontractors and field teams to support project schedules
  • Review subcontractor submittals for completeness and compliance prior to architect review
  • Generate, track, and manage Requests for Information (RFIs)
  • Maintain and distribute current project plans, specifications, and contract documents
  • Assist with permitting and project startup requirements
  • Coordinate punch list development and project closeout activities
  • Collect and compile warranties, O&M manuals, as-built drawings, and closeout documentation
  • Support development and implementation of project-specific QA/QC plans
  • Maintain project records, documentation, and file management systems
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, field teams, architects, owners, consultants, and subcontractors throughout project execution

Requirements

Must Have

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Field Engineer or Project Engineer supporting commercial construction projects
  • Experience with RFIs, submittals, and change orders
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and construction management software

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field
  • Experience supporting commercial construction projects across multiple market sectors
  • OSHA 30 certification

PTO & Holidays

Vacation / PTO Accrual

  • 0-4 Years: 2 Weeks (80 Hours)
  • 5-10 Years: 3 Weeks (120 Hours)
  • 10-15 Years: 4 Weeks (160 Hours)
  • 15+ Years: 5 Weeks (200 Hours)

PTO begins accruing upon hire for eligible employees working 30+ hours per week. PTO requests require supervisor approval and should be scheduled in advance. Extended time off exceeding two weeks typically requires additional management approval. Employees are encouraged to use earned PTO each year. Unused PTO may carry over only up to the maximum accrual allowed for your tenure level. Earned, unused PTO from the current calendar year is paid out upon separation.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $87,000.00 - $91,000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Schedule

This is a permanent, fully onsite position based in Denver, CO.
