Join Our Team as a Project Engineer!

ABEL Construction Company is looking for a skilled Project Engineer to join our growing team. If you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are ready to contribute to exciting projects, we’d love to meet you!

Role Overview

As a Project Engineer, you'll be a key player in ensuring our projects run smoothly, from start to finish. You’ll collaborate with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Preconstruction teams to finalize bid packages and scope of work for CM projects. You’ll assist the Project Team with organizing key deliverables, reviewing, processing, and tracking submittals, and communicating effectively with a wide range of project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Preconstruction teams to finalize bid packages and scope of work for CM projects.
• Assist the Project Team with organizing key deliverables, such as: Schedule of Values and monthly owner billings, Cash Flow (Draw) Projections, Project Schedule, Submittal Schedule.
• Review, Process, and Track Submittals.
• Review, Coordinate, and Track ASI’s.
• Review, Create, Process, and Track RFI’s.
• Support the Project Superintendent with Daily Reports, Manpower, and Subcontractor Coordination.
• Work with the Project Management Assistant to develop and manage a document control process that integrates with all project management systems.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date files on contract documents, subcontract records, plans, specifications, and any changes or clarifications.
• Communicate effectively with a wide range of project stakeholders to keep everyone on the same page.

• You bring a positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, and a professional approach to every project.

Education & Experience

• You have a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.

Location

This position requires the candidate to work on-site in the Louisville, KY area.
