Construction Operations Assistant - Iowa Sports Turf

About the role

The Construction Operations Assistant supports the Construction Operations Manager by assisting with project management, vendor/customer communication, and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing projects with subcontractors
• Handle customer calls/inquiries
• Communicate with clients and subcontractors
• Aid in the management of construction project calendars
• Assist in estimating project scope and costs
• Track purchases, deliveries, and invoices; apply invoices against purchase orders
• Manage construction projects on-site
• Write proposals for smaller projects
• Manage project documents internally
• Attend internal status meetings as required
• Attend and/or coordinate prospective field visits/walkthroughs
• Work toward continuous quality improvement
• Stay current with changing technology, including software programs
• Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or similar field preferred
• Six months to two years related experience and/or training required or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Driver’s License required
