Responsibilities
- Act as the lead technician on designated small to medium-sized projects, performing construction observation and materials testing independently.
- Coordinate with other less experienced technicians regarding schedules and testing procedures.
- Communicate thoroughly with fellow staff members, construction crews, and client representatives.
- Perform testing of construction materials (concrete, soil, aggregate) at construction sites and in the laboratory according to industry standards.
- Exhibit excellent documentation skills; utilize scheduling programs and document management systems used on construction projects.
- Responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness, calibrations, and safe working condition of equipment.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 7-10+ years of technical experience and / or a combination of technical coursework and experience.
- A minimum of a high school diploma or Associate’s degree in a technical field. A Bachelor of Science in Engineering is a plus.
- Certifications: Advanced NICET, ACI, and / or DOT certifications are strongly desired.
- Capable of lifting up to 80lbs, walking at least 5 miles daily, and working in varying weather conditions.
Pay
Salary Range: $26-$38
