About the role

Kleinfelder, a long-standing industry leader in the Intermountain West, is seeking a Field Construction Materials Testing Technician Level I/II to join our Northern California Team in Hayward, Fresno, and Stockton, CA. Responsibilities

  • Bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds (22.68 kg) repetitively and over 50 pounds (22.68 kg) using handling equipment (hand truck, etc.).
  • Operate heavy equipment as necessary (i.e., ultrasonic non-destructive testing machine, concrete cylinder press, etc.).
  • Maintain safe mobility over construction obstacles by foot and ladder, traversing over rough broken ground and steep surfaces.
  • Work outside in variable weather at field sites and in labs with various levels of safety protection required.
  • Travel throughout Northern California as needed.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of construction materials testing experience.
  • At least four field-oriented Certifications (Caltrans, ACI, NICET).

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate should have the following certifications:
  • Caltrans testing certifications
  • ACI
  • NICET
  • NACE
  • NDT

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Pay Scale Disclosure Law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Hourly pay is expected to be $25.00 - $33.00/hr.

This position offers a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the candidate and the project requirements.
