Construction Materials Testing Technician

About the role

Kleinfelder, a Forbes' Top Employer for Engineers in North America, is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician for its Oklahoma City, OK office. This is a mid-experience level position with the opportunity to grow your knowledge and skills related to construction materials and scientific testing.

Responsibilities

• Follow proper procedures
• Perform accurate computations using basic to intermediate math including some algebra
• Maintain cordial relationships with co-workers, clients, contractors, etc.
• Work with a team in a challenging, fun, and fast-paced environment towards a common goal
• Have a dynamic work style which includes multi-tasking and being able to quickly shift focus from one task to another when needed

Requirements

• 1-5 years of construction materials testing experience
• Basic to intermediate computer skills with MS Word, MS Excel & MS Outlook
• Basic to intermediate math skills
• The ability to read and understand a test procedure
• CERTIFICATIONS (preferred, or have the ability to obtain within 6 mo of hire): ACI Strength Testing Technician, ODOT Materials Sampling Technician, Nuclear Gauge / Troxler / Radiation Safety

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Preferred certifications: ACI Strength Testing Technician, ODOT Materials Sampling Technician, Nuclear Gauge / Troxler / Radiation Safety
