Construction Materials Testing Laboratory Supervisor-Bagdad Mine

About the role

Immediate opening for a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Laboratory Supervisor or Senior Laboratory Technician for a long-term project at a mine in Bagdad, Arizona. This is a full-time, on-site position. Housing reimbursement and per diem are provided if not within commuting distance.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard laboratory test methods including proctors, sieves, Atterberg Limits, Compression, Sampling, and splitting of samples
• Calibrate equipment
• Maintain proper and complete laboratory data
• Handle lab certification and maintenance
• Maintain and purchase equipment
• Supervise a small team of field and/or lab technicians (when hired; this is a new office)
• Communicate clearly with the Office or Project Manager regarding all aspects of laboratory operations
• Provide neat and orderly project documentation
• Obtain and maintain lab accreditation

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in laboratory testing for soils, concrete, aggregate and/or asphalt
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Positive attitude
• Good organizational skills
• Strong work ethic
• Current valid driver's license

Required Certifications

• ACI Strength
• ATTI Soils and Aggregate
• ACI Field
• MSHA certifications

Location

Bagdad, AZ, but can be based out of our Tucson, Safford, Phoenix, or Prescott, AZ office.
