About the role
Kleinfelder is seeking a Project Manager experienced with Construction Materials, Engineering, and Testing (CoMET) for our Redmond, WA office. This role offers a dynamic work environment, the opportunity to work on multiple high-profile projects, and membership in one of the largest and most respected firms in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects and service delivery teams
- Mentor and manage operational staff (field and laboratory personnel)
- Communicate with clients, staff, and supervisors to successfully and profitably deliver high-quality construction materials testing and inspection services on a consistent basis
- Cook up and review project proposals
- Sell Kleinfelder's services to new and existing clients aligned with Kleinfelder's business plan
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in materials testing, special inspection, construction management, and/or other construction-related engineering service
- A minimum of 2 years of project management experience, including responsibility for direct client interaction, as well as the ability to plan, organize, execute, and direct various size projects
- Ability to work independently and as a team member, maintain composure, and work effectively in a high-pressure environment with changing priorities
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass drug test
- Able to use a company provided laptop or tablet computer and a working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Qualifications
- A good work ethic, attention to detail, and high level of personal integrity
- Authorization to work in the United States
Skills
- Construction inspection and testing certifications from the American Concrete Institute (ACI), International Code Council (ICC), National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET); the American Welding Society (AWS)
- Engineering Certification (EIT) and on track to obtain a Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in the future

The expected hourly range for the position is $36.47 - $60.86. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
