Construction Materials Tester 2

Responsibilities
- Accurately write and submit test reports daily.
- Absorb and assist with the inspection of Heavy Civil construction.
- Perform a variety of job site tests, record test data, and interpret test results.
- Sample and test Cement, Concrete, and other surfacing materials.
- Sample and perform aggregate tests such as sieve analysis, sand equivalent, and moisture content.
- Use nuclear gauge to test densities of asphalt, concrete, surfacing, and earthwork.
- Write and receive tickets for measurements of materials.
Requirements
- WAQTC in-place density and aggregate testing certifications.
- ACI Certification field testing Grade 1.
- 2+ years of experience doing construction materials testing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion and navigate uneven construction sites.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of materials testing and construction practices.
- Ability to travel for Western Washington per diem projects.
- Flexibility to adjust work schedule to coincide with contractor activities including the ability to travel as needed, work nights, weekends, holidays, and perform emergency callouts/standby.

Skills
Construction Materials Tester - CMT Field Technician 2 requires a strong foundation in materials testing and construction practices, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to navigate challenging environments.

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state's law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
