Construction Materials Technician (Concrete)

About the role
This position involves preparing and testing concrete samples, performing compressive strength testing, and handling related laboratory duties. You will record test results, maintain documentation, and ensure accurate data entry while adhering to lab safety procedures and quality standards. The role supports project deadlines by completing testing within required turnaround times.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and test concrete samples in accordance with established procedures.
- Perform compressive strength testing and related laboratory duties.
- Record test results, maintain thorough documentation, and enter data accurately.
- Maintain testing equipment and ensure cleanliness and organization of the lab.
- Follow laboratory safety procedures and quality standards.
- Complete testing within required turnaround times to meet project deadlines.
Requirements
- ACI Strength Certification is required or strongly preferred.
- Experience or knowledge in concrete testing, including cylinder testing and strength testing.
- Proficiency in laboratory documentation and record-keeping.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive testing accurately.
- Compliance with lab procedures, safety expectations, and testing standards.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle concrete samples as needed.
- Reliable attendance and ability to meet testing deadlines.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a concrete lab or materials testing environment is preferred.
- Comfortable working in a full-time lab setting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, laboratory-based role in an indoor environment focused on working with concrete samples, testing equipment, and lab processes. The work environment is safety-focused and quality-driven, requiring attention to detail, consistency, and adherence to standardized procedures. The position offers potential for long-term growth within the laboratory or broader Construction Materials Testing (CMT) team, with exposure to recognized testing standards and certifications.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, and internal equity.

Schedule
This is a Contract to Hire, fully onsite position based in Tulsa, OK. A signing bonus and relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
