Construction Materials Laboratory Technician

About the role

Kleinfelder's Hayward, CA office is seeking a Laboratory Construction Materials Testing Technician to join our team. We provide construction inspection and material testing services to a broad range of local and national clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine to complex testing of construction materials in the laboratory, to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications and geotechnical engineering purposes.
• Test on soils, asphalt, aggregates, and concrete materials.
• Must be detail oriented.
• May be called upon to perform various tasks at the discretion of the supervisor.

Requirements

• Strong initiative.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Own vehicle.
• General knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Majority of work will be at the Hayward Laboratory, but must be willing to travel locally as required to fulfill local project assignments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician - Grade I
• ACI Aggregate Testing Technician
• ACI Aggregate Base Testing Technician
• Caltrans Certification Soils, Aggregates, and / or Asphalt

Pay

The expected salary range for the position is $30 - $40 hourly.
