Construction Materials Engineering TechnicianDFW Metroplex | Full-Time | Entry-Level to Experienced

About the Role

We’re hiring a Construction Materials Engineering Technician to support infrastructure and development projects across North Texas. This is a hands-on role where you'll work in the field and in the lab, testing construction materials to ensure quality, safety, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and laboratory tests on construction materials (soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregates)
• Capture, label, and document test samples according to project specifications
• Utilize field equipment including nuclear density gauges (training provided)
• Coordinate daily activities with dispatch and on-site teams
• Communicate professionally with contractors, engineers, and project leads
• Submit accurate reports daily through company systems
• Follow all safety standards and procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Basic math and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and time management

Preferred (but Not Required)

• 1+ year of construction materials testing (CMT) experience
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I, and/or SB102 and/or, 1A and/or 1B certifications
• Nuclear Density Gauge certification or ability to obtain within 90 days (training provided)
