About the role
The Construction Material Field Technician/Inspector is responsible for inspecting and testing various construction materials in the field to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Inspect construction materials such as concrete, steel, and masonry for quality and adherence to specifications.
- Test materials using various equipment to ensure they meet required standards.
- Document findings and discrepancies in inspection reports.
- Communicate with contractors and clients regarding material issues and solutions.
- Ensure all inspections are conducted safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in construction material inspection or related field.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of building codes and industry standards.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills
- Proficient in the use of inspection tools and equipment.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely.
- Good physical stamina for fieldwork.
