Construction Material Field Technician

About the role

The Construction Material Field Technician/Inspector is responsible for inspecting and testing various construction materials in the field to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction materials such as concrete, steel, and masonry for quality and adherence to specifications.
• Test materials using various equipment to ensure they meet required standards.
• Document findings and discrepancies in inspection reports.
• Communicate with contractors and clients regarding material issues and solutions.
• Ensure all inspections are conducted safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in construction material inspection or related field.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of building codes and industry standards.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

• Proficient in the use of inspection tools and equipment.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery safely.
• Good physical stamina for fieldwork.
