Construction Manager - Venice & Nokomis, FL

About the role

Manage the overall community (or communities) construction schedule to ensure the timely completion of houses in a quality manner. This position will not provide relocation assistance.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling, quality control-phase punch, cost control, safety, and regular customer communication
• Manage orientation, orientation list, one-month list, invoice approval, and update plans
• Fill out and send in Neal schedule, conduct frame walks with customers, and handle homeowner warranty
• Maintain community and site cleanliness to Neal standards
• Check homes thoroughly before all stages of construction, including slab pour, sheetrock hanging, and grade setting
• Coordinate invoices as required by the Accounting Department
• Provide above-average customer service during the construction process
• Ensure a safe worksite and comply with all safety guidelines and regulatory requirements
• Manage trade partners while monitoring and evaluating for safety, scheduling, quality, and cost control
• Foster a team environment with effective communication and problem-solving
• Pursue continuing education through seminars, conferences, and classes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Business, or related field (preferred)
• Minimum of 4 years of experience with a production homebuilder
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move safely over uneven terrain
• Finger dexterity for operating a computer keyboard and calculator
• Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift frequently
• Continuous walking, standing, and moving about
• Repetitive movement of hands, arms, and legs
• Constant exposure to outdoor weather conditions
