Construction Manager Trainee

Your Responsibilities on the Team

• Aid in preparing and maintaining job schedules.
• Inspect and enforce job safety requirements.
• Complete 'punch lists' and assist in completing new home orientation lists.
• Attend construction meetings and training classes as scheduled.
• Ensure job site cleanliness and assist in completing model/inventory maintenance.
• Assist in addressing service-related issues.
• Engage in daily interactions with various division personnel, subcontractors, business partners, and homeowners.

Your Toolbox

• A high school diploma or equivalent required, or 0-2 years of homebuilding/construction experience preferred.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
• Must demonstrate effective communication skills.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office products (Word and Excel).
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Valid auto insurance coverage.

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements

• Regular, in-person attendance at Company communities/job sites and offices during regular work hours is essential.
• The ability to work more than eight hours per day in the confined quarters of a construction trailer.
• The ability to operate a motor vehicle.
• The ability to read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move, and/or carry equipment which may be in excess of 50 pounds.
• The ability to operate construction equipment occasionally.
• The ability to use finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
