About the Role

The Construction Manager oversees all aspects of the home building process in the Greenville, SC area, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves managing construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors while maintaining effective communication with clients and stakeholders. The Construction Manager ensures compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards, focusing on delivering exceptional customer satisfaction and supporting Keystone Custom Homes' mission of "Building Dreams Together."

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise all stages of the home building process, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.
  • Lead and supervise construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety and environmental standards.
  • Oversee adherence to health and safety procedures on-site, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Review construction designs and specifications to ensure quality control and proactively identify potential risks or issues.
  • Manage the project budget, monitor expenses, prepare cost reports, and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and resolve construction challenges, delays, or issues to keep the project on track.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in construction project management, with a solid understanding of construction methodologies, blueprints, and technical aspects of home building.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet aggressive project deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and detail.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and a proactive approach to solving challenges during the project lifecycle.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to different project locations.
