Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all on-site construction activities across the project lifecycle, ensuring safe and efficient execution of works.
- Review engineering designs and provide constructability input to ensure practicality, efficiency, and field execution alignment.
- Direct and coordinate multiple contractors to ensure adherence to project schedule, budget, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Monitor construction progress and proactively manage risks, constraints, and field execution challenges.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, including MSHA requirements and site-specific safety protocols.
- Liaise closely with Project Management teams to provide regular updates, reporting, and progress insights.
- Review, validate, and approve contractor invoices based on verified field progress and contractual agreements.
- Interface with regulators and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance and supporting project approvals where required.
- Support and participate in community and stakeholder engagement meetings as a project representative.
- Foster a strong safety-first culture across all construction activities and contractor teams.
Working Conditions
- Fly-in/Fly-out or rotational site-based role.
- Schedule: 3 weeks on / 1 week off. 12-hour shifts on site.
- Project duration: Immediate start through Q3 2028.
- Remote greenfield mining construction environment.
Requirements
- 20+ years of construction experience in large-scale industrial or mining projects.
- Experience with greenfield gold mine construction.
- Owner's representative construction management experience.
- Prior proven experience delivering greenfield projects, preferably within mining or heavy industrial environments.
- Demonstrated experience with crushing circuits, process plants, and electrical distribution systems.
- Strong track record of delivering projects with CAPEX of $250M+
- Experience working on projects in the United States with working knowledge of MSHA requirements.
- Prior experience interfacing with regulators and leading stakeholder/community engagement activities.
- Strong leadership experience managing contractors in complex, multi-discipline construction environments.
- Able to operate effectively in remote, fast-paced project environments with high execution demands.
- Comfortable with rotational schedule.
