About the Role
The Wood Project team is seeking an experienced Construction Manager, office-based in Greensville, to support an active portfolio of sustaining capital projects within large-scale Engineering, Procurement & Construction Management (EPCM) projects. This role will focus heavily on supporting proposals, preconstruction, contracts, project control, and cost control.

Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific construction management procedures
- Implement the overall Project Execution Plan and perform activities needed to construct the facility and pre-commission it for startup
- Assist with the delivery and timely execution of the project/contract/service, ensuring contract requirements are satisfied
- Ensure technical and quality requirements are understood and complied with; prepare quality plans and documents in accordance with project, statutory, and legislative requirements
- Assist in the management and control of construction cost and schedule
- Assess the effectiveness of working practices and systems to continuously improve performance
- Deliver against agreed planned work scopes, ensuring obligations are met
- Provide advanced technical discipline input to scope definition and execution
- React to changes in scope, inform necessary parties, and complete change management documentation
- Participate in audits and incident investigations as required
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to less experienced personnel
- Manage RFI and Field Change Process, maintaining documentation and logs
- Coordinate with vendors for technical support, site visits, and delivery issues
- Assist with the development of the PMP/PEP, bid submissions, construction methodology, and strategies
- Provide construction technical support to the customer and Wood engineering team throughout FEED and detailed design phases
- Work with project controls to develop the build sequence/construction schedule and proactively risk-manage the schedule
- Provide input to the contracting strategy and during the bid clarification process
- Contribute advanced discipline experience to project work methods, processes, and team development
- Collaborate to identify required material and equipment
- Identify change requests
- Communicate with stakeholders as required
- Review construction documents and submittals
- Prepare reports
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience managing construction projects
- Demonstrated experience leading multiple concurrent small capital projects ($100K–$10M)
- Experience managing construction activities
- Proven capability supervising all construction trades across mechanical, electrical, structural, architectural, piping, and process disciplines
- Experience working within an EPCM program structure
- Strong understanding of construction in cGMP environments, process systems, utilities, and facility infrastructure
- Currently authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship from Wood
- Proficiency in document creation and editing (Microsoft Office Products such as Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel)
- Well-developed interpersonal skills to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with a wide range of client groups (internal and external)
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently or in a team environment, providing leadership, support, direction, and consultation
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives with strong organizational skills to meet project deadlines
- Willingness to travel, participate in activities, network, and build relationships
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to organize, analyze, and report on various parameters and data sets
- Ability to proactively detect challenges to safety, quality, cost, and schedule to ensure development and execution of effective prevention, mitigation, or corrective actions
- Able to establish and maintain positive and effective customer relationships, ensuring payment terms are met and communicating any delays
- Well-organized, observant, with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work with timelines/targets
