About the role

This role will evolve into the General Manager for our client's Fargo operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily on-site project activities to ensure construction is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between field teams, subcontractors, project managers, and clients.
  • Cook up and schedule subcontractors, materials, and inspections to maintain project flow.
  • Maintain progress, quality, and compliance with project drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Resolve field issues quickly to minimize delays or cost impacts.
  • Conduct regular site meetings and maintain accurate daily reports and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to manage change orders, budgets, and timelines.
  • Ensure site safety standards are upheld and lead by example to promote a strong safety culture.

Requirements

  • 5–25 years of experience managing commercial construction projects, with a focus on interior buildouts, renovations, or ground-up work.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing field operations from start to finish.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and site coordination.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with project management and construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, or similar).
  • OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent safety training preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent field experience).
