Construction Manager

About the role

Waggoner Engineering, Inc. is hiring a Construction Manager for our Bossier City, LA office. This role plays a pivotal role in overseeing and ensuring the successful execution of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, to ensure successful project execution.
• Manage and coordinate contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications.
• Implement and enforce quality control measures to guarantee that construction work meets the highest standards and adheres to project specifications.
• Maintain open and transparent communication with clients, project stakeholders, and team members, providing regular updates on project progress, issues, and solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Related Field; PMP or CCM certification preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, preferably in water and wastewater infrastructure projects, demonstrating expertise in project planning, scheduling, and execution.
• Comprehensive knowledge of water and wastewater treatment systems, pipelines, and associated infrastructure is essential to effectively manage projects in this specialized field.
• Strong knowledge of construction practices, scheduling, contract documents, and project controls.
• Proficient in PMIS tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients are vital for success in this role.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to water and wastewater projects is crucial to ensure projects meet all compliance requirements.
