About the role
Toll Brothers, America’s leading builder of luxury homes and a Fortune 500 company, is seeking an experienced Construction Manager / Superintendent for a brand‑new community in Houston, Texas. This on‑site position works five days per week and is responsible for supervising all on‑site construction, scheduling subcontractors, resolving day‑to‑day problems, and inspecting work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Inspect jobs in process and at completion
- Manage the construction team
- Schedule and oversee subcontractors
- Approve subcontractor invoices
- Obtain all permits and order required building materials
- Maintain a safe and healthy jobsite
- Oversee customer‑care work
- Schedule and complete required building inspections
- Collaborate with the sales team to create a smooth buying process for homebuyers
- Conduct pre‑settlement inspections with homeowners
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3–5 years of related experience, including scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and production of all phases of residential construction
- Thorough knowledge of all trades
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to manage projects, plan and prioritize, and focus on detail orientation and effective time management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with appropriate grammar and clear organization of ideas
- Proven ability to manage individuals and groups, optimize performance, provide effective feedback, and participate in formal processes such as compensation negotiations and disciplinary procedures
- Creative problem‑solving skills to address business needs and issues
- Preferred: Knowledge of BuildPro
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
