Construction Manager
About the role
STV currently has an opening in its Lawrenceville, NJ or Newark, NJ Office for a Construction Manager for their Transportation division to work on transportation projects in the New Jersey Area. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 15 years of experience on infrastructure construction projects, specifically with rail, tunnel, roadway, and utility rehabilitation construction.
Responsibilities
- Work with field staff for inspection of construction projects
- Review construction drawings and inspect construction activities
- Coordinate construction with other public and private agencies
- Review and monitor contractors for contract compliance
- Submit daily reports
- Serve as the Owner’s on-site representative with the contractor to coordinate and monitor matters of quality, substantial conformance to the contract documents
Requirements
The Construction Inspection Manager should have a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering and at least 15 years of relevant experience as an inspector working on rail, tunnel, roadway, and utility rehabilitation construction projects.
Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and time management skills are essential. This role requires a professional who can effectively communicate with contractors, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
Skills
Experience with and working knowledge of policies, procedures, and specifications for City Reconstruction Contracts is required. Proficiency in construction inspection software and familiarity with local building codes and regulations is beneficial.
