Construction Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage brownfield upstream well-site construction projects in alignment with industry standards and best practices.
• Lead and supervise construction crews, safety system testing teams, crane operations, gas lift/wellhead compression commissioning, and artificial lift installations.
• Participate in engineering design reviews to ensure constructability and alignment with project expectations.
• Interpret P&IDs and conduct site walkdowns to validate scope, identify risks, and document site conditions.
• Select appropriate materials and develop bills of materials; coordinate with vendors and obtain competitive quotes.
• Track and manage daily project costs using cost sheets; oversee contractor performance to support budget adherence.
• Provide day-to-day management of contractor work and operational priorities to maintain project progress.
• Plan and execute construction work by coordinating resources, timelines, and cross-functional support.
• Coincide with field and office-based engineering teams (Automation, Electrical, Engineering, and others) to prevent delays and resolve issues.
• Perform and manage Energy Isolation and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) activities and maintain rigorous control of critical safety systems.
• Lead daily tailgate meetings, maintain site-wide safety control, identify hazards, and ensure mitigations are in place before authorizing work.
• Coordinate Permit to Work activities, ground disturbance compliance, and Texas 811 requirements.
• Initiate and implement improved construction practices to reduce project costs and downtime while increasing safety.
• Ensure compliance with essential operating procedures and practices for the construction discipline.
• Report activities that could impact safe operation of processes and/or systems, including process safety and operational optimization concerns.
• Comply with the Code of Conduct, Values & Behaviors, and all health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) practices and procedures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in project management within the construction industry, focused on well-site construction projects.
• Proven experience managing brownfield upstream well-site construction projects.
• Strong mechanical construction background.
• Experience with piping modifications, mechanical installations, oil & gas facilities, compressors, separators, fuel skids, tanks, and pressure systems.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs; experience conducting facility walkdowns.
• Experience developing bills of materials and monitoring project costs.
• Proven leadership ability supervising lease and construction crews and overseeing contractor work (supervisory only; no hands-on physical labor).
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills for corrective maintenance.
• Experience with energy isolation, LOTO, and critical safety systems; ability to ensure effective working of the Permit to Work system.
• Strong planning, coordination, and communication skills across cross-functional teams.

Schedule

Monday–Thursday, 10–12 hour days. Occasional Friday or weekend work may be required.

Pay

$75/hr
