Construction Manager

Ramboll is a global architecture, engineering, and consultancy company founded in Denmark. We are a foundation-owned people company dedicated to creating a thriving world for both nature and people. Our Project Management Group in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Construction Manager.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of plans, schedules, and project-related activities.
• Work alongside superintendents, supervisors, and administrators on project management tasks.
• Manage the overall project construction scope, schedule, and budget.
• Lead the on-site project team management for smaller scale projects.
• Manage subcontractor contracts in coordination with the Senior Construction Manager.
• Participate in the change order process, including proper notification and supporting data gathering.
• Create and maintain a safety culture in the office and at the jobsite.
• Serve as the Project Site Safety Leader (in absence of a full-time EHS Supervisor).
• Estimate materials, labor, and equipment costs for successful project management.
• Plan startup, commissioning, and closeout processes.
• Adhere to quality management practices and policies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree plus 2+ years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Construction Management discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read plans, drawings, and specifications and interpret data.
• Experience in construction sequencing, planning, scheduling, safety planning, and means and methods.
• OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification (preferred).
• OSHA 40-hour Hazwoper Certification (preferred).
