Construction Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead and oversee bridge, highway, and rail projects, ensuring compliance with contracts, budgets, schedules, and safety standards.

The role involves supervising construction staff, coordinating with engineers, contractors, and clients, and preparing project documentation. You will also engage in business development, client relationship management, and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage change orders and support constructability reviews
• Assist with contract negotiations and resource planning
• Oversee compliance with contracts, budgets, schedules, and safety standards
• Supervise construction staff and coordinate with engineers, contractors, and clients
• Prepare project documentation
• Develop business opportunities and manage client relationships

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• 10+ years of relevant experience in construction management
• Strong knowledge of MDOT construction standards
• Leadership, communication, and financial management skills
