About the role
Join our project team in Nashville, TN managing a large-scale corporate headquarters facility and the design and construction of crucially important schools that will educate the next generation of American students. As the onsite Owner’s Representative, you’ll work with the best engineers and project managers in the business, collaborate directly with contractors and architects, and be empowered to deliver bold solutions for everyday living.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the onsite Owner’s Representative, ensuring all aspects of project success, including technical performance and monitoring field activities of contractors.
- Report on progress of the work and assist in identification and verification of any required remediation activities for non-conforming work.
- Oversee construction safety and notify the Contractor’s supervision of any observed unsafe practices or conditions.
- Review look-ahead schedules with contractor’s staff, project managers, and others to determine upcoming work activities, testing/inspection requirements, equipment needs, and coordination requirements.
- Manage construction through completion (Closeout) in accordance with program contract and Owner’s policies, including punch list, commissioning, and warranty processes.
- Lead the program manager’s efforts in field quality and resolve complex construction project-related issues.
- Manage project team members, provide construction oversight, and mentor staff.
- Form long-term relationships with clients, contribute to program strategy development, and support program leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline, Construction Management, or Architecture.
- 10+ years' experience in construction involving multiple phases of large-scale building/rehabilitation projects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, display leadership, and resolve critical issues pertinent to the project and client.
- Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, contract management, project delivery methods, building systems/components, and technology.
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM).
- Onsite employees are expected to attend a Jacobs Workplace on a full-time basis, as required by the nature of their role.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $95,000.00 to $125,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
