Construction Manager

Freese and Nichols is seeking a Construction Manager in Fort Worth or Dallas, Texas. As Construction Manager, you will oversee construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring quality, compliance, and alignment with client objectives while serving as a key liaison between owners, contractors, and design teams. What You'll Do Manage the observation and inspection of ongoing construction work including material sampling and testing as well as measuring quantities.Review contractor’s work for compliance with contract documents and clarify contract documents for the contractor.Lead the development and management of change/field orders, updates to construction schedule, submittals, request for Information (RFI), claims, pay requests, construction meetings and closeout processesCommunicate with contactor about non-conforming workCorrespond with client, contractors, and other employees Collaborate with design teams to facilitate responses to RFIs and submittals and/or construction issuesRead plan and specifications to be able to ensure construction is in accordance with plans and specificationsCommunicate with owner to understand owner’s needs and clarify owner’s objectives and relay information to Freese and Nichols and contractorSupport bid phase servicesConduct pre-bid and pre-construction conferencesSupport the design phase process as assignedOversee field staff and the execution of their daily workSupport sales and marketing efforts Qualifications Bachelors or Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience3+ years relevant experience in the construction field serving as a construction representative or inspectorFully proficient and ability to mentor others using project management information systemGood written and verbal communication skillsWorking knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) Preferred EITCMIT About Freese And Nichols At the heart of our culture is our LEADS values (Learn continuously, Engage as family, Act with integrity, Deliver quality, and Serve always).
