About the role
Foster CM Group is a leading program and construction management firm founded in 1992. We provide top-tier services in Aviation, Education, Government, Healthcare, Sports & Entertainment, Transportation, and Water/Wastewater sectors. We are currently seeking a seasoned Construction Manager to oversee vertical construction projects within the concourse and terminal areas at DFW.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee field and construction activities, including coordination with construction coordinators and other CM support staff.
- Perform QC checks on work product and staff work.
- Support the APM in coordinating with other COA departments.
- Assist APM, PM, and CDPM in change management and scope development.
- Liaison between contractors and internal field DFW stakeholders.
- Attend Contractor Progress (OAC) meetings, punch walks, mockup reviews, etc.
- Verify mobilization schedules and recommend approval of contractual requirements.
- Manage project schedules, including overall and individual schedules.
- Review and approve contractors' QA/QC and logistics plans.
- Manage quality services related to oversight and supervision of construction contractors' quality control services.
- Lead periodic construction meetings and additional meetings as needed.
- Support review and negotiations of Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) field costs, equipment, and General Conditions (GCs).
- Work with DFW's Environmental Officer to monitor compliance with environmental requirements.
- Oversee construction monitoring and associated reporting.
- Ensure project site and company assets are secure and maintain a safe and respectful working environment.
- Support monthly pay-application reviews.
- Review Daily Construction Reports and weekly work plans.
- Support the contract change order review process.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on vertical building projects.
- Demonstrated aviation-related construction experience, including work on or around airport terminals and improvement projects.
- Strong understanding of environmental codes and regulatory requirements relevant to airport construction.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, and SharePoint.
- Familiarity with building codes and standards, and ability to interpret design documents and contract specifications.
- Valid Driver's License.
