Responsibilities
- Monitor contractor operations to ensure compliance with contract plans, specifications, and obligations.
- Cook up and schedule various phases of construction inspections and oversee traffic control, SWMP implementation, and permit compliance.
- Collaborate and communicate proactively to identify and resolve field issues and conflicts in coordination with the project team and supervisors.
- Work collaboratively with owners, designers, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
- Prepare and process comprehensive project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, field directives, and change orders.
- Document all field activities using modern technology like CM cloud-based software, GNSS/GIS mapping, and aerial drones.
- Create and present weekly and monthly project reports and conduct weekly progress meetings.
- Perform project schedule analysis using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent software.
- Manage punchlists, warranty reviews, and project closeout procedures.
- Communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, subconsultants, and agency staff, demonstrating the ability to read and interpret complex plans and specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Engineering or Related field required.
- 6+ years of experience in Construction Management and Project Administration.
- PE and/or CCM preferred.
- Microsoft office applications proficiency required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to communicate with clients and the public and respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, and community members.
- Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, and clients.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and develop effective conclusions.
- Must be able to work in a team environment and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for this position.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Engineering or Related field.
- Preferred: PE and/or CCM.
