This role is based in the Orlando, FL market.
Responsibilities
- Achieves financial objectives by assisting with selecting and bidding to qualified contractors; anticipating requirements, submitting information for budget preparation; scheduling expenditures; monitoring costs; analyzing variances; writing purchase orders, reviewing and approving invoices.
- Assures company quality control expectations are met by completing pre-construction, interim, and final inspections including a detailed punch-list(s) at completion of projects.
- Complies with legal and company requirements by enforcing building codes, following company systems, policies and procedures, maintaining safe and healthy work practices, and monitoring pre-construction and closing inspections, including completion of a detailed punch-list at completion of projects.
- Improves efficiency of construction process by evaluating construction documents, policies and procedures; and, by recommending and implementing best practice and cost optimization revisions.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as deemed necessary by Facilities Director.
- Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Allocates program costs by preparing operational and risk reports for analyses.
- Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting and orienting employees.
- Maintains staff job results by training, coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reading professional publications; establishing personal networks; or participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing determined Financial and Key Result Area targets pursuant to Company Plan guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred. Other combinations of job related experience and education that meet the requirements may be substituted.
- Five years of experience or more preferred; including minimum of two years of management responsibility.
- Experience with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word preferred.
