Key Responsibilities
- Manage construction projects through all phases, including pre-construction, bidding, construction execution, and project close-out.
- Monitor project budgets, review monthly expenditures, and assist with cost control.
- Evaluate and negotiate contractor change orders and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Track contractor schedules and monitor project progress to ensure milestone completion.
- Review contractor submittals, RFIs, and project documentation for completeness and compliance.
- Provide technical direction while ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
- Coverage of construction meetings, preparation of project reports, and communication of project status to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, contract requirements, and agency standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of construction management experience (8–10+ years preferred for senior-level candidates).
- Experience managing commercial, institutional, government, or public agency construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and project controls.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- One or more of the following certifications is preferred: Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification.
- Experience supporting federal, government, or NASA-related projects is a plus.
