Responsibilities
- Highly motivated, qualified and client service-oriented Project Manager specializing in Construction Management
- Project budget monitoring
- Field supervision of trained technicians and junior engineers
- Translate and implement project plans and special provisions
- Evaluate and document construction operations
- Complete required project documentation including progress payments and contract changes to achieve final project acceptance
- Ensure quality control activities are performed for all assigned work and back check work of others
- Interact and communicate effectively with design team members, clients and other agencies
- Construction Cost Estimating experience
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- Wisconsin PE license
- 10+ years of progressive experience in construction inspection and construction layout staking
- Familiarity with Wisconsin Department of Transportation construction engineering practices, standards and documentation
- Good decision-making skills, flexibility, focus on quality and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word and Power Point)
- Preferred knowledge of topographic and construction surveying
- Preferred understanding of DOT’s consulting expectations and needs
- Preferred experience in roadway design using Civil 3D
- National Corrosion Engineer (NACE) Certified Coatings Inspector a plus
- Preferred experience with scheduling software – Primavera (P6) and/or MS Scheduler
