Construction Management Intern (Fall 2026)
Zipline is the world’s largest and most experienced drone delivery service. We are on a mission to serve all humans equally by ensuring access to food, medicine and essential goods anytime, anywhere. We design, build, and operate the world’s largest autonomous logistics system, delivering critical supplies quickly and reliably. Today, Zipline operates on four continents, makes a delivery somewhere in the world every 30 seconds, and has completed millions of deliveries to date, including blood, vaccines, medical supplies, food, and retail products.
The Ground Systems Deployment and Construction team is responsible for turning bare ground into functional drone charging sites. We’re a broad, cross-functional team with skills across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and construction engineering with a mandate to deliver world-class construction execution with zero issues in the first 30 days, on-time and on-budget, using scalable, cost-optimized, and serviceable designs.
About the role
As a Construction Management Intern in Dallas-Fort Worth, you will support the rollout of our systems across multiple metros and help shape how the UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems) world integrates with the built environment—for Zipline, our customers, and the industry. You will manage the entire process from site identification through permitting, approvals, and construction, collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Communications, Government Affairs, Engineering, and Operations to overcome operational and technical challenges and bring customer sites online quickly.
You will drive all aspects of project construction to establish Zipline’s ground infrastructure in the region, including contractor evaluation, bid management, design review, site construction oversight, and project completion in partnership with Service Operations and Superintendent teams. You’ll work alongside the Construction Management team and engage with Deployment, Real Estate, Government Affairs, Finance, Legal, and Engineering teams to build stakeholder relationships and secure necessary approvals for network expansion. You will also manage external vendors, ensure project timelines are met, and align efforts with Zipline’s strategic goals.
