Construction Management - Construction Administrator - VA Medical Center

About the role

SteerBridge Strategies is seeking a Construction Administrator (CM-CA) to support infrastructure upgrades at Veterans Affairs Medical Centers. Key responsibilities include construction management, design/build, engineering, and facilities management for complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Administer construction, design/build, engineering, and facilities management for complex-construction projects.
• Provide pre-design, design, procurement, construction, claims, and administration services.
• Conduct risk assessments to ensure minimal impact on patient care.
• Manage construction documentation and determine administrative actions.
• Monitor construction quality, safety, time, cost, change, and information management.
• Identify and address discrepancies between contractor work and construction documents.
• Ensure compliance with baseline schedules and assess the value of accepted work.
• Communicate effectively using a variety of software programs to monitor and produce work products.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship
• Pass a federal background check and obtain a VA PIV badge
• Minimum 3 projects of similar scale and difficulty
• At least 3 years of construction experience or equivalent education
• Working knowledge of construction practices
• Familiarity with site operations and construction management
• Experience in quality assurance, safety, and scheduling
• Communication, language, and software skills

Pay

$65,000 - $125,000 annually, with salary commensurate with experience.
