Construction Logistics Specialist II

About the role

The Construction Logistics Specialist II supports Airport Development, including Sustainability, Energy, Environmental, and Development Services.

Responsibilities

• Create, implement, and oversee temporary wayfinding strategies to support pedestrian flow and user experience.
• Assess signage quality, visual appeal, and adherence to standards; recommend project-specific sign types.
• Manage multiple collaborative wayfinding projects with multidisciplinary teams, including technical and non-technical staff.
• Coordinate across disciplines to meet multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Read, interpret, and analyze project schedules, Gantt charts, and design plans to evaluate signage needs based on construction activities, environmental factors, and user expectations.
• Apply in-depth understanding of signage materials, fabrication methods, color theory, typography, and font specifications, along with industry best practices for temporary wayfinding and mapping.
• Review projects' submittals, Phasing Plans, and Site Logistics Plans through ASR and LIR processes, focusing on wayfinding impacts.
• Develop high-impact concepts, location plans, and proposed wayfinding paths of travel.
• Plan, produce, and install temporary wayfinding that translates complex information into easy-to-understand visuals.
• Conduct hands-on installation, including regular site walks to evaluate signage effectiveness and update plans as needed.
• Track phasing for production and installation schedules across multiple projects to ensure timely completion.
• Verify quality and consistency of signage and wayfinding elements, ensuring visual appeal and usability.
• Design layouts and information for wayfinding plans, maps, newsletters, flyers, stakeholder updates, and presentation materials, applying visual hierarchy, consistency, readability, and brand/program standards.
• Communicate technical or field-based information clearly to both project teams and non-technical stakeholders through excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication.
• Use Adobe Creative Suite and Bluebeam for producing and reviewing wayfinding plans and layouts.
• Use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for managing communications, scheduling, and project tracking.
• Pass a federal background check; airport badge required.
• Perform other duties as required or needed.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience, preferably on airport building programs or similar complex building programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Aviation, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, or other related technical field (required).
• Master’s degree (preferred).
• Relevant professional licensure and/or certification (strongly preferred), such as AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, AICP, etc.

• Salary Range: $110,000–$115,000
