Construction Logistics Specialist II

E2 Consulting Engineers, Inc. (E2) is a professional services firm established in 1988 specializing in a full spectrum of engineering services including project engineering and design, federal base operations and infrastructure support services, gas pipeline construction and inspection services, environmental consulting and remediation, and information technology services. The Construction Logistical Specialist is responsible for maintaining the CALM processes and workflows to ensure communication is maintained to all project teams and stakeholders with accurate and timely data as it pertains to each activity.

The Construction Logistical Specialist will work with the CALM Team and will be responsible for preparing and distributing materials relating to workshops and meetings, activities, and project coordination. This effort includes tracking requests from beginning to end, meeting minutes, coordinating meetings, and streamlining processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a wayfinding specialist with multiple years of airport experience, skilled in creating, implementing, and overseeing temporary wayfinding strategies that support pedestrian flow and user experience.
• Assess signage quality, visual appeal, and adherence to standards, with the ability to recommend sign types specific to each project.
• Manage multiple collaborative wayfinding projects with multidisciplinary teams, including staff with technical and non-technical backgrounds.
• Coordinate across various disciplines, meeting multiple deadlines under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• Read, interpret, and analyze project schedules, Gantt charts, and design plans.
• Evaluate signage needs based on construction activities, environmental factors, and user expectations to maintain effective wayfinding.
• Apply in-depth understanding of signage materials, fabrication methods, color theory, typography, and font specifications.
• Knowledge of signage, temporary wayfinding, and mapping industry best practices.
• Review projects' submittals Phasing Plan and Site Logistics Plans as submitted through the ASR and LIR processes with a keen eye for wayfinding impacts.
• Develop concepts, location plans, and proposed wayfinding paths of travel with high visual impact.
• Plan, produce, and install temporary wayfinding that translates complex information into easy-to-understand visuals.
• Conduct regular site walks to evaluate signage effectiveness and update plans as needed.
• Track phasing for production and installation schedules across multiple projects, ensuring timely completion and a holistic approach.
• Verify the quality and consistency of signage and wayfinding elements, ensuring visual appeal and usability across all materials.
• Apply layout and information design skills to format wayfinding plans, maps, newsletters, flyers, stakeholder updates, and presentation materials.
• Apply visual hierarchy, consistency, readability, and brand/program standards to ensure materials are clear, professional, and audience-appropriate.
• Demonstrate excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills to clearly convey technical or field-based information to both project teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Use Adobe Creative Suite and Bluebeam for creating, editing, and reviewing visual materials and layouts.
• Use Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, Publisher, PowerPoint) for project communication, scheduling, and documentation.
• Pass a federal background check; LAWA Badge is required.

Requirements

• Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Aviation, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, or other related technical field required. Master's degree preferred.
• Professional Licenses & Certification: Optional certifications may include AAAE, LEED, PMP, PE, AICP, or any other relevant professional licensure or certifications.
• Minimum 10 years of experience, preferably on airport building programs or similar complex building programs.
