Construction Litigation Paralegal

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive litigation support in construction defect and construction-related matters
- Draft and assist with pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and correspondence
- Manage document production, review, and organization, including electronically stored information
- Assist with preparing case chronologies, factual summaries, and damages analyses
- Cook up inspections, expert involvement, deposition scheduling, mediations, and hearings
- Maintain case files, deadlines, and calendars in compliance with court and firm requirements
- Cite-check and assemble motions, exhibits, and trial binders
- Communicate with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel as needed
- Support attorneys during mediations, hearings, and trial preparation
- Aid with compliance related to Florida construction defect statutes, notices, and procedures
Qualifications
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in construction defect or construction litigation
- Strong knowledge of Florida civil procedure and litigation support practices
- Experience managing complex document-intensive cases
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiarity with e-discovery platforms is a plus
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience supporting construction defect or multi-party litigation matters
- Familiarity with construction documents (contracts, plans, specifications)
- Trial or arbitration support experience
- Experience working with experts such as engineers or architects
