About the role
We are seeking a Construction Litigation Associate Attorney to join our Los Angeles office and support a growing caseload of construction and commercial disputes.
Responsibilities
- Manage construction and commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, legal memoranda, and settlement agreements
- Propound and respond to written discovery and manage document production
- Conduct and defend depositions and attend court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations
- Analyze construction contracts, project records, payment disputes, delay claims, and change orders
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, consultants, and court personnel
- Assist with case strategy, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations
- Manage court deadlines, filing requirements, and multiple active matters
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor and active membership with the California State Bar
- 2-10 years of civil litigation or other relevant legal experience
- Construction litigation experience preferred
- Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to independently manage assignments and multiple deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong professional judgment and client communication skills
