Duties & Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with customers, including EPC, Design-Build, Professional Services Agreements, and Master Service Agreements.
- Aid Sales, Supply Chain/Procurement, and Operations groups with negotiation of contracts and purchase orders with subcontractors and vendors.
- Support contract support and advise on contract issues during project execution, including change order review and dispute resolution.
- Travel to company locations, project sites, legal proceedings, and contract negotiations as required.
- Perform special projects and complete other duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
- Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school required.
- Current license to practice law in good standing required.
- Minimum 3 years of legal transactional/commercial experience required, including industrial or large general construction customer contract negotiation and face-to-face negotiations; minimum 3 years in construction industry contracting required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Self-directed with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple work streams in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
- Level 1 – Office (Sedentary Work)
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and operating office equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to occasionally stand and walk within an office environment.
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
