Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Super in guiding you through the intricacies of the construction business.
- Work alongside experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience.
- Assist the Site Super with a variety of on-site tasks, including:
- Removing debris
- Loading and unloading building materials
- Assisting with other tasks as assigned
- Site Preparation:
- Clearing debris
- Digging trenches
- Setting up barriers to ensure a safe and organized work environment
- Material Handling:
- Loading and unloading construction materials and equipment
- Transporting materials to the work area
- Distributing materials to the appropriate locations on the site
- Operating Equipment:
- Training to operate machinery and tools such as forklifts, heaters, generators, and transits, as well as tools like jackhammers, sawzalls, and cameras
- Safety:
- Following safety guidelines and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
- Ensuring safety on the construction site
- Cleanup:
- Cleaning and maintaining the work area
- Disposing of waste materials
- Maintaining an orderly and safe site
- Communication:
- Coordinating with other team members and supervisors
- Following instructions
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: Prefer candidates with at least a high school diploma or GED
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, digging, and working in various weather conditions
- Safety Awareness: A commitment to safety is crucial. Candidates should be aware of and follow safety protocols and guidelines
- Construction Experience: While not required, prior experience in construction or a related field can be a significant advantage
- Reliability: Punctuality and a strong work ethic are essential qualities in a construction laborer. Construction projects depend on a dependable workforce to stay on schedule
- Legal Work Status: Candidates should have the legal right to work in the country where the construction job is located
