About the role

Description G-Net Construction is hiring a full-time Construction Laborer to support commercial interior construction, renovation, and facility maintenance projects across NYC. This is a hands-on field position for someone who is reliable, hardworking, and willing to support carpenters, plumbers, electricians, painters, and other trades.

Responsibilities

  • Assist tradespeople with daily construction and maintenance tasks
  • Load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment
  • Set up and maintain site protection, dust control, and cleanup areas
  • Perform demolition support and debris removal as directed
  • Clean work areas and maintain safe job site conditions
  • Help prepare job sites for carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and painters
  • Operate basic hand tools and small equipment as directed
  • Follow directions from supervisors and lead tradespeople

Requirements

  • Construction field experience preferred
  • OSHA-40 required for NYC field work
  • Must be able to work on the books
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and physically able to perform field work
  • Must communicate clearly and follow direction
  • Must work neatly and keep job sites organized
  • Must have basic hand tools, including at minimum a tape measure and hammer

Qualifications

  • Preferred Qualifications: Valid driver’s license is a plus, Staten Island resident or reliable transportation is a plus, Own vehicle is a plus, Basic carpentry, painting, demolition, or construction experience is a plus
