About the Role

We are hiring Construction Laborers/CDL Drivers for our Guardrail and Signs teams. This is an entry-level position involving physically demanding outdoor work on state highways, expressways, and commercial sites.

Responsibilities

• Signs Division: Install all elements of signs statewide, including driver posts, foundations, steel structures, removal/replacement, and earthwork. Operate tools and equipment such as bucket trucks, loaders, and digger derricks.
• Guardrail Division: Assist with installation, repair, and removal of highway guardrail systems and related roadway safety infrastructure. Work as part of a crew to ensure projects meet specifications and safety standards.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s license; must be insurable under the company’s vehicle insurance policy.
• CDL A required.
• Ability to perform manual labor in outdoor environments (heat, sun, cold, rain).
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and out-of-town projects (up to weeks at a time).
• Experience with outdoor labor or construction is a plus.

• Construction experience and equipment operation skills.

Physical Demands

• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, and use of hands/fingers.
• Hand strength required for grasping tools, climbing ladders, or uneven terrain.
• Frequent reaching, operating vibrating machinery, hand tools, and motorized equipment.
• Lifting or pushing/pulling objects up to 75 lbs. without assistance.

Work Environment

• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic/caustic chemicals, and electrical shock risks.
• Moderate to loud noise levels.
